You will find Council Grove amidst the Flint Hills Prairie. With every turn you will be surround be history from over a century ago. The best place to stay is the The Cottage House Hotel Bed and Breakfast. The charm of this place will truly sweep you away. The rooms are all decorated and furnished in the time period they where built. No trip to Council grove would be complete without visiting The Hays House for dinner. This restaurant has been in business since 1857 and has had such patrons as General George Armstrong Custer and Jesse James. While in Council Grove you can visit over 24 historical sites with a self guided tour. History, charm, Council Grove is truly a weekend get away to remember.
